The MS Readathon is a reading-based fundraiser run by Multiple Sclerosis Australia
(MSA). Now in its 33rd year the MS Readathon encourages children and adults of all
ages, to read books, learn about multiple sclerosis (MS) whilst raising funds to
help people living with MS.
It’s so easy to get involved. All you do is simply read as many books as possible
throughout August and ask family and friends to sponsor you. They can do this by
either pledging an amount per book read or by the time you spend reading or by giving
you a donation. This money goes to support people living with MS. Once you have
completed the program you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation signed by the
Prime Minister and a reading reward as a thank you for your efforts, if you raise
over $30.
To get involved you don’t have to just read novels. You can read anything you like.
Magazines, ebooks, CD’s, newspapers, comics or even your school books – any reading
is good reading! So why not register today and create your very own homepage. You
can then email all your family and friends and let them know what you are doing
and ask them to support you.
To help you get started we have included some lists of books we think you will enjoy.
Check them out here. Just think, simply by reading you can help make a difference to others. How cool is that!
