MS stands for multiple sclerosis. This is a disease that more than 16,000 Australian people have. Kids don’t usually get MS. Most of the people who get MS are adults. Here’s how it sounds when you say it: mult-e-pull skle-row-sis. It’s not always easy to say, especially five times in a row really fast – believe us, we’ve tried! So instead, we shorten it to ‘MS’. Now you can go around telling people “Yes of course I know what MS Readathon stands for you silly salami, don’t you?”
