Kids don’t usually get MS. Most of the people who get MS are adults between 20 and 50 years old. Just in Australia, there are more than 16,000 people living with MS right now. Around the whole world, more than two and a half million people have MS. That’s a lot of people! One thing we do know is that twice as many women get MS as men. We are not sure why it happens in women more than men, but this is one of the things we are trying to find out with the money you raise from your MS Readathon sponsors. Oh, and one other thing to remember. MS is not catching so you can’t get it from someone else. Visit MS Oz Kids to see how it might make you feel if you know someone with MS. |
