Participants, parents and schools have all contributed to the team of supporters for the 2008 MS Readathon. Hundreds of thousands of books were read during the month of June and we are already excited about seeing what books will be devoured in the 2009 MS Readathon.
This terrific team effort has helped us edge closer to making the magic million dollar mark in NSW!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank again all those marvelous readers, as well as the fantastic parents, grandparents, other relatives, teachers and sponsors who all assisted in raising sponsorship for multiple sclerosis (MS). Don’t forget that the money raised goes to support those people living with MS as well as to our wonderful research teams who are working so hard to find a cure.
In addition to the announcement of the Top 20 fundraising schools there are a number of regional schools who have performed extremely well. Schools deserving a special mention include:
- Bathurst Public School
- Thornton Public School
- Gerringong Public School
- Belmont Christian College
- Ourimbah Public School
- St Mary's Primary School (Scone)
- Holy Family Primary School (Ballina)
- Wyangala Dam Public School
- Kiama Public School
- Medowie Public School
- Central Coast Adventist School
- Griffith East Public School
- Wyrallah Road Public School
- Holy Trinity School
- Woonona East Public School
- Leeton High School
- Emmanuel Anglican College
- St Xavier's Primary School
- Narrabri Public School
