The very special partners, supporters and sponsors who have helped support the 2007 program.

The MS Readathon aims to provide participating children with fun, educational and rewarding opportunities to gain a real enjoyment from their reading time.

What Your Child Can Read – To benefit children of all reading levels, the MS Readathon rewards the time spent reading books, magazines, newspapers and websites, and the number of books completed. Keeping children interested in reading can be difficult. Click here for some great tips from icanreadsystem.com

Classroom Activities – If your child’s school has chosen to be involved in the MS Readathon, teachers have access to educational reading activities for the classroom.

Below are two exciting children’s literacy programs associated with the MS Readathon. Both count towards your child’s sponsorship fundraising and reading rewards.

Ultimate Story – The chance for your child to write a published story with some of Australia’s leading children’s authors.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge - A program held in most States aiming to encourage in students in years Kindergarten to Year 9 to read for leisure and pleasure.

About The CBCA

The Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) (make Children's Book Council of Australia link to www.cbca.org.au is a national volunteer organisation. The CBCA promotes reading and encourages Australian authors, illustrators and publishers to produce the best possible books for young people. The CBCA Notable Books and the Shortlist for the Book of the Year Awards are announced in April each year and the winners are announced in August at the beginning of Children's Book Week, which is the longest running children's festival in Australia.
