Who is Billy Bilby?

Billy Bilby and his family of native Australian animal friends are the centre of a new series of delightful children’s books.

The idea of the Easter bilby first came about in the late 1970s and is widely regarded to be the inspiration of writer and conservationist, Rose-Marie Dusting.

Her book Billy the Aussie Easter Bilby was published in 1979.

The bilby was chosen to raise awareness of endangered species and to make Easter a more Australian experience.

Billy Bilby Series

The Billy Bilby series currently includes the titles The Smallest Bilby and the Midnight Star and the Billy Bilby and Friends Activity Book, pictured below.
