Hugo's Story

This August I'm doing my first MS Readathon! I'm reading books to help raise money for families living with MS and neurological conditions, including  some lovely friends.

I love books! Since I was born,  my Mummy and Daddy always read to me. From a young age I also learnt my alphabet and was clever at recognising the letters and their sounds.

My book shelves are overflowing! We love to visit  local libraries and borrow books, order a beautiful new book from Amazon or find pre-loved books at the op-shop.

I am learning to read more independently and have started doing my own readers that my Aunty passed on from her primary school! I also go to reading class with Road to Reading on Tuesdays with my lovely teacher Kate. Every where I go I am curious about reading even things like signs.

My favourite books are usually Peppa Pig ones! I also like to listen to Audio books on my Yoto player. I even read some bilingual books as I'm learning French. One of my favourites at the moment is 100 French words. Sometimes I just feel like a search and find book like Where's Wally?

When I read I ask lots of questions, for example about how the characters are feeling. I love to learn new things especially on my favourite topics like vehicles and countries of the world.

Money raised from the MS Readathon will help fund vital support and services, which include Help Lines available across Australia, MS Nursing, in-home care, speech therapy and physio, Family Fun Days including resources for kids.

Thank you for donating to support my MS Readathon adventure.
