My MS really do be MS’ing
Helloooooo
For those that don’t know, I was diagnosed at the age of 24 with Multiple Sclerosis; and every 6-months I get to have $70,000 worth of medication pumped through me (shout out to the Government for coppin’ that cost).
I have been blessed with MS coming up to 2 years, and thankfully my symptoms are quite manageable. I do have my days where I can’t remember a single thing, or getting out of bed is the last thing I want to do, but I am not the only one.
I am very thankful for my support network of family, friends, my medical team, and of course, my extremely loving and supportive fiancé, Jay. Without them, this would be much harder.
In Australia, it was last recorded in 2021 that around 33,335 people were living with MS. Many of these people would not have strong support networks to lean on when needed.
With this in mind, I am putting my avid and sometimes freak of nature (as described by close friends) reading skills to good use in the 2025 MS Readathon.
The MS Readathon aims to support families and friends living with MS and neurological conditions. All funds raised will aid vital support services across Australia.
As of 27 May 2025, I have read 46 books, with a goal of 70 for the year.
For this challenge, I aim to read 30 books between now and the end of August.
If you can spare any money, please donate to this wonderful cause, and support those living with MS and other neurological conditions.
Appreciate you.
