My Story
As a kid I would regularly participate in the MS readathon through school. Friends over the years joked it was such an appropriate fundraiser for me because I'm such a book worm!
Ironically, 2 years ago I was diagnosed with MS myself. While I was lucky to be diagnosed and medicated relatively early and I'm very grateful that my symptoms are fairly stable, what the future could look like is an incredibly scary thought.
This August, my son Hamish and I are going on an epic journey of discovery for one incredible cause. We're reading as many books as we can in August to raise funds for families like ours living with MS and neurological conditions.
Money raised from the MS Readathon will help fund vital support and services, which include Help Lines available across Australia, MS Nursing, in-home care, speech therapy and physio, Family Fun Days including resources for kids.
