Hi! We’re Oliver and Poppy and we’re MS Readathon Ambassadors!
One of our favourite things to do is read and we love reading books together. Our Mum and Dad also love reading and they said that they did the MS Readathon when they were at school!
Our Mum has MS, and we want to raise money to help people like our Mum who are living with MS. Mum says MS is like a mouse nibbling at the electric cables connecting her brain and body. There are thousands of people living with MS in Australia and we’re reading as many books as we can this MS Readathon to raise money to help fund support and services. This includes things like Help Lines, MS Nursing, in-home care, speech therapy, physiotherapy, Family Fun Days, and resources for kids.
For the last two years we have had a good time together reading and raising money for the MS Readathon. In the MS Readathon last year, we raised $843. That meant we were MS Readathon Superheros! We are so proud that we have been able to help with fundraising over the last two years and we are so excited about the MS Readathon this year!
