Ella diaries, goal power

I love how the book is about soccer and at lunchtime they set up a LSC [ lunchtime soccer club]. What I don't like is that Ella says she will never be goal keeper because she does not like it but when they play the game Ella gets put in goalkeeper and she loved it. I just don't understand.
