MS Readathon – a story that spans generations
1–31 August 2026
MS Readathon is Australia's most-loved reading challenge, inspiring young minds for nearly half a century while making a massive impact for MS support and research.
Thousands of school kids across the country set a reading goal in August to help develop life-long skills in critical thinking, imagination and empathy. It’s free to sign up, and readers will access a range of fun resources to stay motivated with their reading goals and fundraising.
Readers and their families raise funds to support families in Australia impacted by MS and neurological conditions.
Why schools love MS Readathon
"MS Readathon fosters a positive reading environment within homes and at school with parents involved in shared reading with their children.
Our aim is to get more students exposed to books, improve reading outcomes and learn that they can make a difference."
- Jennifer, Teacher - Kyabram College.
