Fabish was a brave horse who braved a bushfire. He used to be a racehorse but didn't like getting up early so he decided to be in charge of the yearlings in a paddock far away from the stables. When he snorted and stamped is feet the horses returned to him. One Afternoon a Hot blustery wind came. The temperature got hotter and then Fabish smelled it. Smoke. All the horses where scared and not calm.
But Fabish was brave and calmed the horses.
The horses where taken to a stable by their owner. They could hear the branches falling and fire crackling. Smoke turned the day into darkness. The next morning they came out and everything was burned but an old rusty truck.
The man headed back to the farm. The farm was charred and desolate.
Fences, cattle, birds all gone. He stood out at the front driveway and looked out at the distance. He heard a noise getting closer and closer. Fab the trainer called out.
A croaky neigh called back.
Vanish held his head low and rumbled a slow neigh. Good boy Fabish. You brought them all home.
There where no cuts on the horses not one hair burnt. The horses followed the truck home.
