Jelly is an extremely enjoyable book that I feel will inspire people to show others who they truly are.

Angelica’s nickname is Jelly, which matches her loud, cheerful, and fun personality. She loves telling jokes, doing impressions of other people, and making people laugh … and they love it too!

Her Mum’s new boyfriend, Lennon is kind, treats her mum well and is a musician. He is the only person who realises that Jelly is not the loud and funny person she pretends to be. Jelly decides to show Lennon her secret notebook, which has all her thoughts and poems she has written inside it. Thankfully, Lennon love is and decides to turn one of her poems into a song!

Jelly decides to enter the tryouts for the school talent show. Her act is peforming impressions and she gets in! However, the Principal decides that Jelly is not allowed to participate in the talent show, but she fights back and is granted a spot in the performance. Will Jelly do the imitations she performed in her tryout act or will she be brave enough to perform her song.
