Malawi Keeper of the Trees

Malawi was in a bad mood, and she wanted everyone to know about it. She thrashed around in the water and she roiled around in the green grass, but nobody noticed she was mad. She leaned against the only tree and it fell over. The next day she wanted a drink of water, but it was dirty and muddy from when she rolled around in it. The she went to the only green patch of grass to munch on, but the grass was all dirty from when she rolled around in it. Then old hyena came along and told her she shouldn’t have done that to the water, or to the grass, or to the tree because one day you’ll need water to drink, and grass to eat, and shade. Malawi said she was sorry but she just wanted everyone to know that she was feeling bad. From that day she looked after the water, the grass and grew more trees next to the old one.
