Over all a good book, though I found that at times it slipped into a writing style for younger readers, and gave off a very Alice in Wonderland vibe, which can be good if that's your thing. First up, what was good about it: I liked the idea of the keys, and the interaction between the greater and the lesser ones. Another good thing was how every was explained- and i don't mean to do with the plot, I mean things that are the great mysteries we can only guess at- how the universe was created, and why, and where the house fit in- things like that.
Now for some of the bad bits. Primarily, peoples reactions. They were like (and this is in the modern world, with normal people!): "Oh yeah, cool Arthur, you have a magical book that changes its size and text so it is in english! and also that same book was given to you by a bunch of flying letters! completely normal!", and "Oh looksie, a person with wings!". They were just way too ready to accept that magic was real. Their first thought was: "oh, It's magic!". In the modern world, that's no-ones first thought unless they're like, two.
The characters... they deserve a section of their own, as i can't call them "good" or "bad" in general. So this is the "Meh" section, because they were mostly, personality wise (Some were better, but still mostly.), very stereo-type hero or villains.
Not very 3D.
This book gets three stars, as it had good parts, though some other parts dragged it's score down.
