Goldie is a story about a boy and girl called Charles and Lizzie, who foster dogs, and who try to find a home for Goldie the Golden Retriever. In the story, they train Goldie because they are trying to make Charles' friend, Sammy's, parents adopt Goldie but some other people try to adopt her, so they teach her more tricks. Then they show her off to Sammy's parents who finally adopt her.
