I got the Red Queen Series early this year or late last year but never got around to them due to the fear of their length- despite having read books longer than them. My friend wanted me to read Red Queen ASAP because she adored it and needed to talk to me about it but couldn’t without spoilers. Plus I had bought the Red Queen and School for Good and Evil comic but had no context about Red Queen.
I read four chapters but then put it down. I’m don’t quite remember why but recently I picked it back up and I’m glad I did.
The book was amazing! I kept wanting to read more and stay late in the night to read it. My eyes kept skipping down the page to see what came next which at some point I got sick of spoiling myself and had to cover up the words until I got there.
It was fast paced a majority of the time after about chapter 5 or 6 so I enjoyed being kept on my toes.
I’ve heard of people saying how they don’t like “the chosen one trope” but I cannot understand why. I loved this book and that was one of its main tropes.
It is written so well and I decided to keep a notebook beside me to write all the good words in as I went to remember to use in my own book.
Victoria Aveyard is a fantastic writer and I certainly recommend Red Queen.

This book series is amazing, incorporates, fantasy and a bit of science fiction with a gripping romance! Couldn't put it down!
