This book is about a young river otter named Deyna. Deyna wanted to be free. Unfortunately he couldn't because his tribe of vermin wouldn't let him. He ran away to be free. And he found his home. It was called Redwall and he was very happy. It Is a very exciting book, with fights, excitement and captures, sword fighting, wrestling and surprises.
I absolutely loved the book and would read it again. I liked the fact that the characters in the book were all different animals. My Favourite character was the main character, Deyna, because he had an interesting life. My favourite part was when Deyna wrestled an evil rat it had me sitting on the edge of my seat.
