Running with Horses is a wonderful book about a nine year old girl named Nina who lives with her dad in a small town. War broke out nearby and so Nina needed to evacuate her town. She rode on an old horse with her Dad and her dad’s friend, Viktor, for three days. Nina’s horse was very tired, which made Nina sad. Viktor had to leave to save his own family. Nina and her dad then lived with her grandparents until the war was over.
