This book would suit kids 10 years and up.
It’s a collection of informative stories about people who protested and stood up for their beliefs. My favourite is Galileo Galilei who stood up against the Pope who had said that Earth was in the centre of the universe and everything revolving around the Earth big Galileos researched proved that the sun was in the middle and everything revolves around the sun.
My favourite female was Elizabeth the 1st who stood up for herself and her country when others said she was unfit to rule and that the country needed a King, she continued on as Queen as carried her country through tricky foreign affairs like war with France , threats of invasion by the Spanish Armada and even when under pressure to marry declared she was bound to the Kingdom of England. Standing up for a woman’s right to choose.
