This book is set In 1947 when World War Two has just ended. Sally is Jewish and is afraid that Adolf Hitler is still alive and lurking nearby. For the summer she moves to Miami Beach with her mother and brother after he gets a kidney infection in New Jersey. But, Sally is scared that Hitler is disguised as her new neighbour. To help her escape her worries Sally daydreams little stories, some of which include her favourite movie stars discovering her and wanting her to be the lead in big Hollywood movies.
