The Dollmaker of Krakow is a fiction book set during WW2, when a doll maker makes a certain doll called Karolina that comes alive and changes his life. Although the plot and characters aren't real many of the events are, so it gives you a bit of a taste of life in Poland at that time. This book does include some cruelty and discrimination so I'd say best for mature readers age 11+. I would highly recommend this great book full of excitement, war, hope and magic.
