The Absolute Death

I first read this in my early twenties, and have re-read it in one night again. Gaiman's Death is one of my favourite fictional characters, especially as a female character to which we can all look up. She's knowledgeable, strong-willed, confident in her ideals and her belief in the inner strength of others, and she's willing to be kind and listen so everyone can do their best for each other. She loves life and doesn't let others take that from her. She says, make the most of what you have. Live the life you're given the best way possible, and so others can live their life well, too. Death's famous saying, "You get what anyone gets... You get a lifetime," is a mantra we should all carry with us and share. If Death can appreciate life, so can you. Show more Show less
