This book!! We are almost finished it (had to pull the plug at 830 with a few chapters to go) but I couldn’t wait to share my love of this book with you all! Lachy is enthralled by it, experiencing righteous outrage followed by tremendous empathetic triumph for the protagonist’s approach to and wins against racial injustice. So many rich conversations have flowed and have been artfully resolved through the conscious writing. All of this presented through an engaging, deceptively simple junior fiction novel!! And the way this book championed the power of voice through writing - beautiful!!
We highly recommend this book.
