This book displays three perspectives of people who survived the sinking of the Titanic: Rhoda Abbott, Eva Hart and Jacob Astor.
Rhoda Abbott: A middle-aged woman with two sons took the Titanic to get home, but lost them both after the ship hit a glacier. She was a passenger in third class.
Eva Hart: A young girl with two parents took the Titanic despite her mother’s premonition. She got separated from her mother and father while getting on the lifeboats as only women and children were allowed on the boats and they needed to switch boats for safety.
Jacob Astor: A young man trying to escape the gossip about his engagement to a young girl named Madeline took the Titanic to get back to New York after the marriage, believing it was unsinkable. All was fine in first class until the Titanic hit the glacier. Jacob and his new bride took shelter in the gymnasium, still thinking that the Titanic was safe and the people climbing into lifeboats were stupid, but after some time, Madeline went into boat 4 and was never seen again.
