Summary: Tom Gates is really exited for the school activity trip( if he can find his form). Pranks, midnight feasts and lots of fun. The fossils, ( Toms grandparents) come to pick him up and his grumpy sister Delia has a wonderful surprise waiting for him at home. His dude3 t-shirt has won the competition.
My favourite part of the book was when the fossils think that Tom is coming two days later and arrive on their mobility scooter holding balloons and a sign saying welcome home Tom.
