Waiting for the storks is a sad story about a young polish girl kidnapped by Germans in WW2. She makes a happy life in Germany with a loving Mutti and Vati, that is, until the polish boy comes. Slowly all her memories of Poland begin coming back, all little Zofia wants is a happy life with her family, but as Hitlers armys numbers begin dropping, and Zofia loses her Mutti and Vati, she is forced to return to poland, and all the bad memories that lie there.
