This book has me in shambles. I literally had to put my book down and take a deep breath at the end because of how eventful it was. The twist had my jaw on the floor, my world felt like it was crushed around me - some of the dead are dead but not really dead! What an amazing concept!
How the book was written was perfectly written, in the short span of only a few days so much has happened and in a zombie apocalypse it does. The book has it fuzzy moments but it quickly turns south and hits the fan - which would happen in a zombie apocalypse, you can't let your guard down.
That only problem i had was that the book was descriptive in parts and luck luster in others. It bounces around and moments with Cooper and Peter are so small - I didn't really like how quickly their relationship progressed in a few days. Maybe it was because they are young, but this book was spanned over 3-5 days and so much happened in their relationship. It seem unrealistic. But their relationship is beautiful.
I would have liked to read a bit more on how Peter thinks and processes things. Why does he make the decisions he does, is it fear? We don't get his thinking process, which is a critical element within a story based in this type of environment.Show moreShow less
