this book was everything i wanted and more. it was weird, it was a bit gory, it was funny, it was emotional, it was the embodiment of a traumatised woman of the rails but in a domestic and (despite the haunting) realistic way. it subtly delved into the manifestations of early sexualisation and childhood trauma in adulthood and the lack of self that comes with it. i loved the writing, i loved abby, i loved the plot, i loved all of it. beautifully written and delightful to read!
