But why?

Fun fact about monster: he's a properly committed reader, no bribery required. Back in the day, the MS Readathon ran on a small donation-per-book model, and if that were still the case, he'd have ploughed through 200-odd books by August and we'd all be quietly checking our bank balances. These days it's a flat fundraising goal instead, which is honestly a relief for everyone's wallet — he's set his goal at $200 and is already two-thirds of the way there, with a stack of books to prove it.

We're cheering him on because the cause sits close to home — one of dads own team members at the B.I.T Collective lives with MS, and the money raised goes straight into things that make a real difference, like help lines, MS nursing visits, and family camps that give kids a proper break. If you've got a couple of dollars spare, throw them his way. Given how much he reads, you're getting an absolute bargain either way.
