Day 31

Short and sweet to finish off the month of reading. Norah read every single day of the month, and only had two days  where she didn't read a *new* book! Well done Norah for smashing your goal of reading 60 books in August, and thank you to all of her sponsors!

Day 30 - close to the finish line

Day 30 and Norah ramped up her reading again. Having met her goal of 60 we set a new target of 70 by tomorrow. Also smashed! 

Day 29

Another day, another Friday Barnes novel commented. She was the inspiration for Norah's book week costume this year. 

Day 28

As we get towards the end of the month Norah is slowing down with how many books she reads each day, but she's still managed to get a few pages of Friday Barnes in at bed time :)

Day 27 - animals an pop ups

A few animal-themed pop up books for reading to self at bedtime this evening. 
Not long now - let's see how many books Norah can get to by Monday!

Day 26

A few more pages tonight at bedtime of Friday Barnes. 

Day 26 - Book Week Parade

Another day, another graphic novel. Definitely flavour of the month here in this household. Today at school Norah enjoyed the Book Week Parade which went ahead inside away from the drizzly weather. 

Day 24 - reading goal achieved!

After seeing my update last night Norah went away and read 4 more books to achieve her goal. Day 24 saw yet another book get added to that pile!

Day 23 - Fundraising goal reached!

Congratulations Norah on reaching your fundraising goal! And a big day of reading to match. Getting very close to her reading goal as well!!!

Day 22 - more cousin fun

Day 22 saw a bunch more kids books read to Norah's little cousin. 

Day 21 - Where is that green sheep...?

Most of the pages of this book were read before the little cousin took over. Still plugging away at Friday Barnes book #2. 

Day 20 - science week

A little lift-the-flap adventure for Science Week. Plus Where's Wally, and continuing adventuring with Friday Barnes. 

Day 19

A fun, interactive picture  book for bedtime. Perfect for quieting the mind... A few more pages of Friday Barnes to finish the evening. 

Day 18

Day 18 saw two graphic novels finished in one afternoon. 

Day 17 - on track for book reading target

Monday night calls for a short and sweet picture book. Norah is on track to meet her goal of 60 books for the month! 

Day 16

Weekends are for powering through novels! Onto the next book in the detective series! 

Day 15 - road trip

A road trip calls for an audiobook. And a dip into another chapter book at bedtime. 

Day 14 - short and sweet

Short and sweet for a Friday night. A quick chapter book then back to the detective novel. 

Almost at the half way point in the month and we have been blown away by the generosity of our sponsors. Thank you to everyone who is supporting Norah's reading this month!

Day 13

Day 13 continues with yet another graphic novel. And plugging away at a detective novel. 

Norah was excited to realise today that she has ready every day this month!

Day 12

Day 12 continues the graphic novel run, this time with a historic angle. 

Day 11 - Are vampires alive?

Day 11 is library day at school so the graphic novels were refreshed. Norah delved into the world of Dracula, which then lead to a bunch of questions about the un-dead...

Day 10 - DEAR

Drop Everything And Read sounds like a fabulous way to spend some time in the afternoon at school. 

Day 9 - The Day the Crayons Quit

Day 9 saw a couple of recently started booked finished off, and a very funny bedtime story to end the day :)

Day 8 - trip to the library

Today included a trip to the library to pick up some books from the suggested list. Norah dipped into a few across the day. 

Day 7 - mystery

Day 7 sees Norah enter the realm of mystery novels for kids. 

Day 6

Reading a fairytale bedtime story to the grown-ups tonight. 

Day 5

Action shot for day 5, reading at bedtime. Very into graphic novels in this household at the moment!

Day 4 - inspiration from giraffes

Between Tuesday afternoon activities we managed to squeeze in one book at bedtime :)

Day 3 - musical influence

Day 3 and Norah chose two books to get her half way to her target of 60 books for the month. We then listened to a couple of songs by some of the artists celebrated in Our Home, Our Heartbeat. 

Day 2 - Little Miss Curious

Day 2 saw a whole pile of Little Miss books, and a dip into Philosophy for curious minds with Nietzsche. 

Day 1

Day 1 saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban finished, and 16 other books read! Off to a strong start to the month :)
