BARBERINOS. Good luck on your page turning journeys! Did you know that centuries ago, travellers would carry a small book in their chest pocket. Not to read, but because folklore stated that a physical book over the heart could ward off malevolent spirits, witches, or physical danger. This novel idea works very well and is the sole reason I have so many books I haven’t read. Each time I leave the house, I fill my pockets with all of my books to protect me when fall over. And I’m yet to meet a witch or an evil spirit!
