New Book Haul from Warilla Salvation Army Op Shop

Hi everyone!

We purchased a variety of books today from the Op Shop.

Given Elijah is really good at his words with the one-word books we have now purchased some books with more sentances in them.

He has been copying alot of what we are saying and its very helpful when we are reading to him and he reads along too, while also looking at the pictures and describing what is happening.

I have added a photo in our gallery.

Elijah's Little Book Nook

We have created a space for all the books we have in our house and at Elijahs level so he is able to see and pick books and read whenever he wants.

We are starting to add some books where theres a little bit more to read apart from the one-word books.

Now we have a lovely little book nook to read more books!

Elijah's 200 words Milestone reached!

We are so happy to announce that Elijah is able to say over 200 words now.

We are now working on more words so he is able complete basic sentances.

Yesterday, he learnt how to say

"Look Mum, theres a creek down there!" And then point.

Instead of yelling "CREEEK! CREEEEEHK! WOW CREEEEEK!"

MS - What is it and how many people in Australia are affected by it

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves).

The immune system mistakenly attacks myelin, the protective coating around nerve fibers, disrupting nerve signal transmission and causing unpredictable physical, visual, and cognitive symptoms.

Across the entire Australian population, the disease affects approximately 139.2 people out of every 100,000.
