The Outback Stars by Ryan AldermanA fun little book about the country footy grand final. The outback stars had made it to the final. The book describes in depth each character and the position they play. The outback stars were playing really well until the giant crocodile come off the oppositions bench. The crocodile kept on scoring until it was all tied. The outback stars then banded together to stop the crocodile.
Another fun little book that had us cheering.

The Dinosaur next Door by David LitchfieldThis is a cute little book about Liz who thinks her neighbour is a dinosaur. Liz tells everyone she knows and no one believes her. Until one day she follows him home one night from his job. But he doesn’t actually go home. He goes to a cave where all his dinosaur friends are. When they go to leave the cave the lady from the museum is there…………
Perfect for little dinosaur lovers. The pictures are really beautiful and Holly loved picking which cakes she liked on the inside cover.

Book Week
Today was our final ever book week parade 😢. A little bit bitter sweet for us as we’ve enjoyed creating costumes together. This year Stella even hopped on the sewing machine to sew the tails. This year the girls decided on Bluey at the beach book which is well loved in this house. I know it might be controversial for some being a tv show also. Stella Bluey and Holly Bingo. Stella got a prize for being the biggest borrower from Stage 3.

Stella’s book review #1.
A very exciting book about an abandoned dog.As more people find out about this dog Clarice and her siblings try to keep this secret from their parents. Finally the dog was their’s.
I don’t want to give too much away about this book.
I really enjoyed this book.
Though I would only recommend it to kids over 8 and kids who like an adventure filled story.
I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5.

Neighbour’s Cat by Michael Rosen & Alex Willmore
This book is about the neighbours cat who comes to visit. The cat makes itself at home. The little girl leaves the cat upstairs and imagines what the cat is doing. After sometime the neighbours call the cat home for dinner. The little girl goes to her bedroom and In Holly’s words “what a big mess!” There are toys, paint etc all over the bedroom Including the windows.
Holly loved seeing what the little girl thought the cat was getting up to and laughed so hard at seeing the mess the cat had created. We also talked about how friendly some of our neighbours cats are lol.
Holly gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.
Definitely recommend to kids that love picture books.
