The Cicutto Family Reads for MS: Our 202-Book Challenge!
Our family has always loved getting lost in a good story, and this year, we are putting that passion to work for a fantastic cause - the MS Readathon!
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects thousands of families, and we want to do our part to help. We are turning our daily reading routines into a way to give back, and we set a massive goal for ourselves.
Collectively, the Cicutto family aimed to read 202 books in the month of August!
Here is how we did:
Arlen lead the charge with a big goal to read 70 books on his own. Just before bedtime on the last day of August, he achieved his goal! We are really proud of Arlen as many of these books were long books or even small chapter books!
Araia dived right in alongside him, committing to read 30 early stage readers by herself. She exceeded this goal and read a total of 34 books on her own. We have loved seeing her reading efforts and her strong commitment to her goal!
Anisa got in on the action too, of course! We committed to reading 100 books aloud to her and absolutely smashed this goal, reading a total of 156 books to her - even Arlen and Araia helped out here!
Additionally, Mum and Dad had a goal of reading 1 (big!) book each over the course of the month. While Dad ended up reading 2 fantasy novels, Mum is still finishing her book (it was a busy month...) - she has made a good dent in it however and is about half way through!
As a family, we are proud to share that we far exceeded our collective goal and read 262 (and a half) books in August!!
We are collectively looking to raise $300 to support people living with MS. We would be absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful for any support you can offer. Whether it is just the cost of your morning coffee or a few spare dollars, every single small donation makes a real difference.
