Donate & Follow along with The Golden Grrls as we raise money by reading books for those with MS this August
Hi we're The Golden Grrrls!!
Three people and a pup with a passion for reading, as you get older sometimes we lose time for the things we love but this is a reminder that making the time to do the things that you care about can be so important for you and your community hoping to change the world one book at a time. All three of us are people who live with disabilities; chronic illnes, invisible, physical and neurodivergent alike so this is a cause that means a lot to us! With that said lets introduce the team!
Khya~Aries~They/Them:
Former MS Readathon-aholic, member of the LGBTGIA+. "I used to particpate in the MS readathon every year to an award winning level of dedication and passion (I still have ever moment, award and medal heheh). When I was little there was three things i looked forward to every year the book fair, a local young author/illustrator competition (something i won three years in a row for my original stories and drawings) and this! I was the kid who didnt get grounded from friends I got grounded from books. Lately ive found it difficult to finish a book so when i saw that this was still going strong I had to join, I myself live with chronic illness amongst other disabilities so i deeply empathise with those battling MS and their families."
Bernie~Aquarius~She/Her:
Fierce Matriarch to three generations. "I have always loved reading even as a child, I would often find myself in trouble for not helping with the dishes because I was immersed in my books. I remember asking my parents for a book of poems at age 10 that I still have to this day at almost 90".
Nick~Libra~He/Him:
Dad of two, collector of rocks and all things shiny. (Bio pending)
Zero~Scorpio~Baby/Dog/King
Honourary Member and official Mascot. "whilst i dont have thumbs and havent learnt to read (yet I am just a baby not even 3!) I have the most important job on the team as the morale raiser and ambassador of adorable, i will be making sure everyone stays focused and on track with my snuggles and charm. Lets afce it whats better than a cosy afternoon with a floofy friend on your lap, a great book and a warm drink in hand? Come on grab your friends in books we can go to distant lands the fun has just begun its Adventure Time!"

We're asking for donations where possible, we understand times are really tough right now for everyone but even SMALL amounts make BIG differences!!
