Why We are Doing The MS Readathon
This year, our family is excited to be taking part in the MS Readathon, and we’re doing it for more than just the love of books.
Reading has always been a special way for us to slow down, spend time together and let our imaginations run wild. Every bedtime story, every new character and every page turned helps build confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
But this challenge is about something even bigger.
By reading throughout Term 3, we’re helping raise funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), a condition that affects thousands of Australians and their families every single day. The money raised goes towards vital support services, research and programs that help people live well with MS.
Our goal is simple: one reader every weeknight. Fifty readers by the end of the term. It’s a small commitment that we hope will make a big difference.
We’re also using this opportunity to teach our children that kindness comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s volunteering, sometimes it’s donating, and sometimes it’s simply picking up a book and reading with purpose.
If you’d like to support our family’s Readathon journey, we’d be so grateful for your encouragement or a donation, no matter how big or small. Every contribution helps create a brighter future for people living with MS.
Thank you for cheering us on as we turn pages, build memories and read for a cause that matters.
Your support helps kids fall in love with reading
We're asking for donations! Can you help? Your support inspires us to reach our reading goals this August. You're giving more than just encouragement!
You'll also help transform lives for families living with MS and neurological conditions when you donate.

Thank you so much Isla and Ash. Our Thomas has MS which makes him very sad and very sick. The money you raise through all of your hard work means that when he feels really sad or sick he has people to talk to and help him which means that Steve and I don’t worry quite so much xx thank you xx

GO YOU GOOD THINGS!!
